Acupuncture

Acupuncture

Inserting very fine, sterile needles into predetermined locations on the body as an additional way to reduce pain and inflammation and restore balance within the body.

Derived from traditional Chinese medicine and supported by sound western medicine evidence. If you may benefit from acupuncture, we can provide leaflets with more information on benefits, side effects and how it will all work within your treatment plan.

Sometimes dry needling may be used, which focuses on the tight parts of muscles, tendons and fascia only

Acupuncture can be used to alleviate:

  • headaches and migraines
  • back, shoulder or knee pain;
  • tennis elbow;
  • reduce pain-killing medication and, in conjunction with physio, increase function so you can get back to what you want to do.
